Florida Department of Law Enforcement’s Miami Regional Operations Center
Agents with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement’s Miami Regional Operations Center, along with the Homestead Police Department and the Miami-Dade Schools Police Department, announce the arrest of four men for various gambling and narcotics charges.
TNT Barber Shop
On Oct. 28, 2012, agents conducted a search warrant at the TNT Barber Shop which is located at 27389 S. Dixie Highway, Miami, after receiving complaint of on-going criminal activities within the business.
Along with the individuals arrested, authorities also seized two guns, one of which was an AK-47, and small amounts of cocaine, marijuana and MDMA/Ecstasy. No charges have been filed relating to the seized weapons. During the search warrant, authorities also located numerous betting receipts and pick sheets for National Football League games.
The following individuals have been arrested:
Paul Lanier, 40, of Homestead, was charged with two counts of keeping a house for gambling, and one count of bookmaking. Lanier is the owner of the TNT Barber Shop and is also employed as a teacher for the Miami-Dade School system.
Elias Baker, 32, of Homestead, was charged with one count of possession of marijuana.
Corey Wilborn, 42, of Homestead, was charged with one count of possession of cocaine and one count of possession of MDMA/Ecstasy.
Jeremiah Jones, 30, of Homestead, was charged with one count of possession of marijuana with the intent to sell.
All of the defendants were booked into the Miami-Dade County Jail.
