On Monday, July 30, 2012 around 11:34 p.m. police responded to the Olive Garden located in the 13000 block of City Station Drive in reference to an armed carjacking.


Investigation revealed the suspect robbed individuals in the parking lot at gun point and took one of their vehicles.  The suspect was spotted driving the vehicle by police in the area of Roosevelt Blvd. and Plymouth St.  A traffic stop was initiated that led to a pursuit.

A precision immobilization technique was used on the vehicle in the 1900 block of Old Middleburg N.  The vehicle crashed into a fence.  The suspect got out of the vehicle and fled on foot.  At that time, it is believed, the suspect shot at the officers.  Multiple officers shot at the suspect.   A perimeter was established and the suspect was apprehended.  The suspect was not hit by gunfire.

The suspect is in police custody and is an active investigation.
